Shopping for a battery operated grease gun and ran across cordless drill powered ones? Didn't know there was such a thing out there! Any experience with these? Any opinions on a decent battery operated one? Menards has a cheapy one but it's got a 2 year warranty with 3000 lbs pressure that seem good to push out old grease

grat..can you imagine how much grease a 'cordless drill powered' gun would get ???!!!! I've got 3 grease guns, 1 pistol, 1 lever, 1 for the Kubota. Had the 1st 2 for decades, replace the Zerk end maybe 2-3 times. I don't go through tubes of grease too fast,if I did ,maybe a batterypowered unit would be nice...though usually as I squeeze grease in ,I'm looking around the machine for 'stuff to fix,later'.......

Don't cut corners. Buy a real one once and be happy and done. Don't moan about the price either!

I don’t remember the brand of one we had, but it wasn’t a good experience. And really, 3000 psi isn’t all that high. We had a Milwaukee electric grease gun and it worked awesome. The only complaint was battery life and the price of new batteries.

I did it by hand for 50 years... Cant do it now. Lay on the ground , upside down, holding the hose with one hand and trying to prop the tube/ handle up against the ground / tire / frame and pump at the same time.... Kids bought be a Milwaukee about a year ago.. Nice that you hold the hose with one hand and pull the trigger with the other... i would assume with a DRILL and pump, you might still have to do a balance act... Milwaukee is expensive, but i grease TWICE as often now since it is so easy.
![]() I have seen good reviews on a couple of the cheaper battery operated units.. Dont know about Menards, but most of there stuff is pretty good quality. Edited by steve(ill) - 13 Sep 2020 at 12:15pm |

Steve, get one of these and you'll never worry anymore. It locks on to the zerk and then you have both hands free. I bought one a few years ago and I'm going to get another come next spring for my other gun.
