If they had used those wheels, wider rims, and 15.5-38 tires on the D17, they would have had to build a bigger factory to make enough of them.
Most problems can be solved with the proper application of high explosives.

It would only have been 1684 miles one way for me. But somehow I don't think my better half would have bought the idea of it as a "vacation". LOL!

Its gone. No more picture.

I've changed the tires on my JD 4020 for a bit more front support and crop clearance and narrowed on the rear for better spraying. 12.4x42 on the rear are no taller than 18.4x34 and probably would be poor for plowing. The fronts are 11.00x16 on 10" wide rims. They do hold up the loader well but are getting to be a chore to climb to put in gas.
