Getting ready to work on the old 65' 190xt lift tomorrow and was wondering if anyone can tell me if there is a hydraulic system screen or strainer to check and clean? Thanks All..

Yes it's at the bottom of the sump. That plate with the suction hose has a screen above it

so how do you access it to clean it? will I have to drain all the hydro fluid? my lifts will not work and was thinking it may be that... thx much.

If the fluid hasn’t been changed for awhile, it would be wise to change it anyway. Oil is cheap compared to transmission problems. Otherwise place a 5 gallon bucket under it and drain the sump. I think its 8 bolts if I remember correctly. The screen is attached to the sump.

Old 190's like that originally had a round strainer inside the left frame rail. It was about 3 inches in diameter and 6 or 8 inches long. They were a constant source of problems and many have been removed and replaced with a piece of pipe. It might still be there and it might not be. It's 50%/50%.
