l just got a call from my friend that i helped last week, i had left my tractor there in a equipment shed, hooked to the hog, i was planning to use it some more this week.

he was going to use it this afternoon to cut  a place to put rolled hay and he said that the tractor started fine and the 3 pt lift worked, but that the hyd.s would not lift the hog and that the power steering is not working, no evidense of any leaks..

it was working fine last thursday when i backed it in the shed, and this is the first time either of us has tried to use it since it was parked.

so i will go in the morning and check it out, i am hoping it just might need a little fluid.

any one had this issue show up on one ?

Check the hose clamps on the suction hose under the pump to make sure they are tight. If they are not real tight , the pump will suck air, not hyd fluid. Hope that helps. Ron

man you hit the nail right on the head, i broke the lines loose give enjine a short crank and everything was pumping, retightened the lines and everything works fine

i had stopped by the the agco dealer at noon today and picked up a hyd filter, so as soon as it comes home i will change all the fluids

the dealership wanted $48.50 for a 2.5 gal jug of 821xl hyd fluid, and napa store had there hyd fluid on sale that says it is compatable , allis 821, ih hytrand, deere, ect. for 45.00 a five gallon jug, so i will be putting in the napa brand

thanks for the responce
