I realize this question has a lot of variables, but what size Disc and (1200) field cultivator does everyone run or recommend for a 6080? Assuming 2wd and moderate / decent 34" tires with some added weight. Adverse conditions with quite a bit of heavy wet clay soil. I don't want to work it too hard and want long engine/power train life. I think I'd rather have a little smaller and be able to run faster than the other way around...

Is a 12-15' disc about right?
Does a 1200 field cultivator with buster bars pull harder than a disc or is 12-15' good for the field cultivator as well?

Thank you for the advice!

Peter

The disc is something that you DO NOT WANT TO GO FASTER WITH. The weight of discs vary so much it’s hard to give you a width. A good Sunflower disc 10 foot would be a workout.   My 6080 struggles with my 22 foot Sunflower with the wings up. Flimsy disc who knows 14-15 foot.   Field cultivator that 12-15 range.

I pull a 18 ft 1200 field cultivator with a 190xt and a 14 ft 2300 disc.

I've pulled an 18' Case-IH 475 with 7.5" spacing with Dad's 6080 in med. 3rd. Was dualed up, pulled it good, probably could have used 4th gear.
