What are the physical differences between a 6070 and a 6080? More than the intercooler and hp?

The 6070 was an upgrade of the 6060. The transmission was upgraded to the 12 speed fully synchronized transmission found in the 6080 and optional 16.9-34 tires. Power increase to 70 hp. Only 972 were produced.

The CLUTCH is smaller on the 6060/6070. Other than that it is the same chassis and maybe rear tires sizes vary, which was the customers choice on those.

The addition of a Intercooler added the extra hp from what I read. Same 433T engine.

From my understanding the 6070 was a 6060 with a 12 speed fully synchronized transmission and they raised the compression to get the extra HP over the 6060. The compression on the 6080 was raised at that time as well but the 6080 was never retested. Alot of people say these later 6080s were pushing 100hp, I have one of the last 6080s but have never had it on a dyno, but it seems to have more than 83hp. The rear end and front end on the 6070 were also a bit lighter than the 6080.

I know the 433 engines were AC. Which other components were foreign & which were Allis Chalmers?

Transmission back was Fiat Transmission related to their 880 tractor series.

Forgot to add this was done as A-C did not have a "Live" PTO in this HP range. A-C Stuck with the PD way too long as a Live PTO tool IMHO. I think most users preferred using the foot clutch to stop movement rather than the PD neutral.

Yes a PD would be great even if it didn't have the neutral.

That, along with about 20% more fuel output from the injection pump. The 6060 pump actually supersedes to the 6070 pump which is basically the same. The injectors and turbo are the same across all 3 models.

Allis raised the compression on latter 433 so they would start better and put a milder turbo on the later 433 too .

Only way to make a 6000 series better would be a shuttle shift. It's one of the best series of tractors allis ever had. That's why we have 4 of them. Could you one or two more.

There is approx. 3 inches difference in the wheelbase. That will make a noticeable difference in a tight spot. |

Wouldn’t a 6060 with its live pto and a PD have been sweet? Great tractor, dad has one, but man a power director with the synchronized trans would been sweet.
