I thought I heard them say on the news a while back that there was a shortage of diesel in the upper midwest?

I read an article earlier this evening in an investment paper that forecasts a ramp up in oil prices in the future(probably next year) of about double the current price. This will be caused by China, India,Pakastan, and other developing countries need for fuel. I see this as more of a sure thing happening than not. If the world continues to demand fuel, and fuel becomes scarce will this precipitate aggression? Presently,China is buying every bit of natural gas and gas properties they can get their hands on in Austrailia.

You don't really have to be smart if you know who is!

I'm actually thinking of selling my beloved Lincoln mark VII Diesel because I drive 140 mi/day. Even though it gets 30mpg, as far as I drive, a gasser that does 40 is looking pretty good right now! I have 2 mark VII diesels I'd sell. maybe I'll go to a tdi jetta.

still 3.95 here in PA as of this afternoon. Diesel went from being cheaper than gas, to about the same price, to ten cents above to twenty cents above, and now almost 70 cents above. Crazy.

Noticed last night reg gas was $3.35 and Diesel was $4.25 a gallon by here . Now on red die and on road , guess you have not had the State come by and say they want to sample your tank. Which they do on a regular basis around the area. Probe the tank of any car, truck or on road viehicle, they ask nice first but say if you refuse they will come back with a warrant.
Life lesson: If you’re being chased by a lion, you’re on a horse, to the left of you is a giraffe and on the right is a unicorn, what do you do? You stop drinking and get off the carousel.

When I lived in southern Ia, I had a neighbor get nailed for red fuel in a truck. It cost him $10K + road use tax on 500 gal fuel tank capacity for the truck he was driving. They showed up at his farm the next day and checked 2 diesel pickups he had registered. Another $10K for each one... Like Coke says, they'll get ya.
