I've been looking through a number of "graveyards" for an AC to restore and ran across an AC B with a Kubota diesel engine installed in it. The tractor has a light duty AC loader, converted to full hydraulics, and looks like same vintage as the tractor..fits well. The guy who owns the "graveyard" doesn't know that much about the tractor, except it runs good. I suspect it has a Kubota clutch assembly, but really don't know at this juncture. Trying to get more info. But a diesel B is rather intriguing. I suppose the Kubota Diesel could tear up the transmission and rear end rather easily. But I might just buy it.

Sounds like a neat project. I'd like to find a 30+- HP diesel to put in my OC46track loader.

The English assembled AC model EB had a diesel engine option available from new. A Perkins P3 144 was used but I believe parts are very hard to find for them, now.

I would say it all depends on the HP of the engine as to whether it would damage the B drivetrain. Bob

some pulling tractors have high HP motors.. millled head, bigger carbs, etc.. I would say the trans and finals will take 40 HP.. not a problem. You have to have extra weight if your going to get that HP to the ground anyway.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

I would buy it. It would make a neat conversation starter if nothing else. But I am really interested with diesels so that's just my opinion.
