    Posted: 27 Mar 2019 at 10:56am
Just put a new cab kit in my 7000. Cleaned it out good. Painted the posts and touch up spots at corners of cab. Looks nice. I took seat back plastic cover off and sprayed silcone grease on every moving part i could find and it still does not work worth a crap. Has anyone successfully made one of these "Deluxe" seats work well? Mine may as well be fixed in position because it does not absorb bumps. I was going to take it out completley to look it over more thoroughly, but the dang thing weighs 150lb and i guess you have to remove the rear window to get it out??? Gave up on that idea pretty quick.

So what options do I have to get either a new seat or make this one tolerable? Its a shame because the seat has a lot of features and is in excellent condition.

Trying to cut down on operator fatigue. I have AC now which is nice. Now I want to save my back

If it is the seat suspension I think it is, new rollers and bearings are in order and maybe some welding on the frame when you get it apart. When they were new, they were just barely OK.

In my black belly 7060 and 7080 I kept the seats and put a K and M manufacturing mechanical suspensions underneath them. Back in the day I did what Doc pointed out to the one in the 8550, but as suggested, less than sub par results. K and M also has the kit to mount their suspension. Your back will appreciate it! Good Luck, Mike

I have the same problem. Looked on K&M's site didn't see the suspension as a stand alone. Only showed complete with seat. My seat is also pretty good and I like it.

I've tried the mech suspension from:   a&i products

Price is okay, but nothing special.   If you really want a soft ride, get air.    If its just a 100 hours a year it will work.

The one from Ag Kits is identical to one in my 7080. You'll need to fabricate some perches to support the front of the seat suspension. Good Luck, Mike

Has anyone tried these suspensions sold by ag kits? About $270. Half the price of K M.

We'll see.

Best to just call K&M. I bought an air suspension and new seat with swivel and it bolted right in. Everything went in and out the door but this was on a 7050. The stock seat is a little different from the deluxe in the newer models.
