I know this site is about Allis Chalmers, but it is also the AC's that have brought all of us together. For those of you who know my dad, Howard Vann, he has had trouble walking and getting around for the last 10 years. A few years back, we bought an older golf cart and put AC decals, flags, and a rear seat on it so dad and his 2 grandsons and I could enjoy the Orange Spectacular together every year as well as several other shows and auctions. His condition has declined since Hutchinson 2011 and he went in for back surgery about 7:30 this morning. The doctor plans 6 to 8 hours of surgery to put rods, caging, etc in his back to free up his spinal cord so he hopefully can regain his balance and ability to walk safely. I will keep you, our friends, posted on his progress, but please keep him in your prayers so he can get out of all this and get back to enjoying what brought all of us together on this website to begin with.     J.W. Prayers from me also JW. I had 7 hours of surgery on my back in 2006.I know what he is going through and he has a bit of a tough road ahead. So long as he obeys doctor afterwards and doesn't do anything to destroy it before it is fully healed he will be a new man. God Bless.

JW;

I have been thinking about the "ole boy" all day, when we last spoke he seemed excited about doing this so I hope his wish comes true, In MN we are praying for his safe and healthy recovery.
