I'm hoping some of you might be able to help me like you've been able to in the past. Yesterday morning my place of work was hit by vandals. They damaged 15 different pieces of equipment that were here. Worst thing was they completely destroyed the cab glass and all the lights on eight cab tractors. I had brought my D21 in to do some work to it and the vandals got it as well. They busted out all four headlghts and the two rear worklights. Fortunately they didn't take out the tachometer or the chrome grill. The tractor once had a cab on it so the lights were moved to the front to the left and right of the radiator. I think they're from Guide Lamp, but I'll do some more investigation. Maybe some of you have some original lights you'd be willing to part with. I have included pictures. Thank you for your time.

The kids need to pay for parts, labor and loss of equipment use by digging trenches for major pipelines by hand at the rate of $1 an hour. And spend their nonworking hours in jail cells.

Hope the judge gives them some time in a cell and some hard labor but Daddy will probably bail them out. If I had done something like that I would want them to lock me up so my Dad couldn't get hold of me. They need to be made to earn the money to pay for all the damage and inconvenience.

I wish you could beat them with the same golf clubs!  MAYBE then they'd learn a lesson.  Otherwise Dad just pays the bill and nobody cares.
It helps too if you go to the court yourself.  Shows the judge that you want some justice.

Vandalism has got to be the most pointless act of stupidity there is. What does destroying property prove? My son had two windshields broken out of his vehicles sitting in the parking lot at the apartment complex where he lived a while back. Pretty much all of the vehicles in the lot got it. They caught the guy, but my son never got a dime out of the deal. He was out in washington when it happened, and found out about it on facebook. Authorities never even contacted him. Darrel

Hello Adam     The fact that the lights are trash go for LED lights.   I bought regular lights for my D21, now I wish I had LED's  Allen

Cab glass and lights on eight cab tractors should add up enough to take the offense to the next level, especially when labor is added. Hope they nail them good . . . .

Stupid kids. I kinda wonder if lights off of 180 & late 190xt work my D21 has only one or 2 headlights & they are broke out. Was it a cab made for a D21? I sort of wish I had a cab for mine.

You took the words right out of my mouth! Haha...

I remember when I started driving and running the roads. Dad just had one small piece of advice: "If you wind up in jail, don't waste your phone call on me!"

A small update on the D21 situation. I never thought to look up when inspecting everything before, but they also got the pre-cleaner bowl assembly on the tractor. They also very, very slightly brushed the side of the chrome grill when they knocked out one of the headlights. It's extremely minor and I don't think I could prove they were responsible. It's almost impossible to see the damage and it would be taken care of when I redo the grill someday anyhow. I might just get all new re-pro lights from Steiner, but I would still be interested to know if anyone has some nice originals. Still a big mess to clean up here... lots of busted cab glass, mirror glass, signal lenses, etc... It's brought our service business to a standstill, because we can't move anything until the insurance adjuster comes and most of the shop work we had lined up we can't do because the customers tractors ready to go into the shop were the ones vandalized. What's more is that we had one new tractor damaged and four used tractors are now damaged and I can't sell them during end of year business Censored

No, 180 and late 190 lights will not work.  They mount from the rear, not the bottom.

My D21 came from Northern California and someone had smashed every light and gauge there was on it.  At least it didn't have a cab or all the windows would have been gone too most likely.  I used just standard round halogen tractor lights (from places like Northern Tool or Steiner) and mounted them on the fenders.  Been toying with the idea of switching it to LED, but I haven't gotten that done yet.

Stuff like lost production time because you had to close the shop until all of the investigation/insurance adjuster had to happen should be added to the bill, including time for you and any employees spent cleaning up the broken glass. Same for lost sales on equipment.
I'd bet that unless these kids have a rap sheet as long as your arm, the judge is going to slap their hands and order restitution.
If it were me, I'd make sure that restitution was as painful as honestly could be.
