Hope someone helps you out, when I was ready to paint mine I posted a couple of times and didn't get any feedback so I took my best guess. Got it done in time for the GO TO in Booneville, Mo and had several tell me it wasn't the right color. But I like it anyway. Good luck.   Doyle

Terry,  I ran into the same problem when I painted my H-3 about 15 years ago.
There was no info then but now I know that I got it too yellow. I think that there were 3 or 4 different yellows used on the industrial equipment depending on the year and those yellows were different than the big crawlers and loaders. I have a D-21 industrial brochure that I'll try to scan and post. I've been having problems with the file size of scanned things. if I can't post I'll email it directly to you. Good Luck ! I love yellow A-C's

Search this forum using "yellow color". Somebody posted a nice color chart once about this question before.

I will see if I stiil have a gallon can of Ind. Yellow, maybe there are numbers on it for crossing. I got one when Ertl came out with the D21 and repainted many Industrial D21's toys.

Three differnent shades of yellow. I-40 is original, H-3 is too yellow, RL-451 is correct for 1961 and the colour that the H-3 should be. The orange pieces are a TL-W loader and Unstyled WC Speed Maintainer.

In the book A Guide to Allis Chalmers it lists Light yellow Dupont 29048 or if made at the  Topeka plant than darker yellow Dupont 29526 was used.
