Nebraska Test tractors: Series 1 D-21 chassis s/n 1012 (October 1963) and engine 3D-1046 with no turbo.......... Series 2 D-21 chassis s/n 2109 (June 1965) engine 3D- 2265 with turbo and eng oil cooler.

Great comparison of the two different 426s in similar D21 tractors (AC 3400 non-turbo versus AC 3500 turbo/oil cooled). Turbo/oil cooler added 24.47 hp while only 0.595 gal/hr fuel increase. 1963 AC 3400 produced 105.0 hp @ 2200rpm with 7.137 gal/hr fuel usage. 1965 AC 3500 produced 129.47 hp @ 2200rpm with 7.732 gal/hr fuel usage.
