I need to remove the rear wheels so I need to know the trick to the hubs. I do not have the special removal bolts that I have seen in the manual. Any help would be much appreciated.

Well, you need the bolts to get them apart. Basically, the bolts have an unthreaded portion on the front of them so they thread into the center part of the hub and push against the outer portion of the hub. You thread each one in till it's tight and then put some pressure on each one and work your way around and the center portion will pop away from the outer part. I only have two factory ones, and that wasn't enough to get them loose, but a local friend had three of them that his son made in high school, and after using three of them they popped loose really easy.

Never tried to remove the hubs with out the special bolts. Usually i tighten the bolts up with my 1/2 impact then we have a big gear puller i put on the tapered wedge assy and then beat on the cast iron hub center with the big sledge hammer for a while then go through tightening the bolts a little more with the impact as well as the puller. Clean the rust and paint off the axle too and penetraiting oil wont hurt anything. If you cant come up with any of the special bolts im sure a machine shop could probably modify some standard bolts for you to use. Good luck!!
