 Topic: D19 PD Help Needed

My power director seems to be loosing fluid around the handle shaft. I removed the handle/lever but find nothing but the casting and shaft. Looks like any seal must be inside? I would appreciate any direction offered.

Believe there should be a groove on each side of the handle shaft for an o-ring
|

I was told by an old timer that if you had small hands (or kids or grandkids ) you can remove the snap ring on the left and the handle off you could slid the shaft out the other side enough to expose the oring then replace it then slide back the other way and change the other oring then the little hands can help get the key in place as you slide the shaft back in place Maybe the dr or somebody else can say yes or no about doing this

Remove the handle, remove snap ring on left side. Remove cover on right side. If there is a setscrew on shaft inside, remove it. Slide shaft just far enough to expose snapping and replace it. Move other direction and do the same. MACK

D-19 shouldn't have an internal setscrew, just half-moon keys. So, no need to remove right side cover. Place the hand lever fully into LOW range and remove the long handle from the shaft. Gently move the shaft side to side just enough to roll out old Orings and roll in new Orings from an AGCO dealership.

Thanks much for the replies. A very simple process once direction is received! Thanks too to the Dr. for bumping this back to the top. Not certain why my physical or site search came up empty.

I'm sure the AGCO o-rings aren't just plain general use o-rings so I'd get them from AGCO as the DR says
