The D19 is gravity fed. Don't know why some one would have put a pump on it.

It doesn't take very much pressure to keep up with the engines fuel demand. 5 psi would be plenty @ at least a 6 Gallons per hour delivery rate.

I've got a customers's D19 in the shop now that is former LP converted to gas. LP tank is being used for gas and is gravity feed to carb. The fuel pump mount still has a block off plate. Seems to run just fine so far. It's in for leaking head gasket replacement.

It will run just fine until the engine is under full load for more than 2 minutes or the tank gets low on fuel and there's not enough gravity pressure to keep up to the engine demand.

I'll talk to my customer about this. This is a tractor that they have had since new. It was retired but now is going back to work. They did the conversion from LP to gas, but haven't really worked the tractor yet. Now would be the time to install a fuel pump while it's in the shop. |

Our 19 is gravity fed. It seems to drink the gas just fine. Good luck.

Thanks for the replies, the tractor I have is a d17 diesel chassis that's got a g230 gas in it, it didn't have a pump on it when I got so I bought a aftermarket one that was junk from day one so I unhooked it and ran line from tank to carburator but acts like it runs out of gas at times so going to try a electric one and see how it works, found one that runs 4 to 5 psi so going to try that.

I have an electric pump on my D19 because the original went bad and couldn't find a reasonable priced replacement.Got a pump with max pressure at 4lbs still flooded the carb.So I put a T in the line over near the carb, ran the one line back under the hood up near the top of the gas tank and back down to where the line comes out the tank before it gets to the pump.So now the max pressure is the fall from the top of the tank to the carb but the fuel pump keeps gas flowing.End result is the tractor runs without flooding.

do you have the part number for the repair kit? mine is gravity fed at the moment the original pump is dried out from sitting.
