Sorry don't have, but remember seeing the decal on seat in a D15 or 17 sales brochure or something. Hopefully someone on here has a picture from brochure or book and will share it.

Different decal for cream seat. The "Allis-Chalmers" decal is positioned half-way between the top edge of the seat pan and the cross ways slot below.

If you find someone that is good with a Cricut, they should be able to reproduce it for you.

Well I guess I didn’t realize there was a difference. We just picked up a new seat at a show few weeks ago. New seat is cream frame. I got the decal per the part number from parts book and it’s like the one above in picture on black frame.

That's (I think) the only one I've ever seen on the cream seat pan. This would be prior to the logo change, which happened with the black seat pan in 1965/66 ??

Very late in 1965 actually.  A change promoted for the 1966 model year.  My neighbor had a late 1965 D17 IV with the sunburst emblems on it (not repainted).

Hi Mikez

Here is a D17IV (1966) for sale on Tractorhouse with a cream back seat.  Seat frame back might be original, but the padded cover looks like a very well done custom job.  Tractor looks to be in very good shape

Hope this helps

That's only about an hour from me. If I hadn'tbought a really nice SIII 2 years ago I'd be interested. Low price so far except for the missing drawbard and lift work.

Is a snap coupler on the series IV something that’s rare? Just curious because my series IV has a snap coupler (wish it wasn’t).

I'm going to guess 50/50 snap-coupler versus 3-point on series 4 tractors.

One of my customers and myself have done extensive research on seats and decals. Our conclusions are:

When the deluxe/padded seat came out in 1961 it had the 338338 decal on the back. All had creme pans. This decal was used up to sept 1964. https://awtractor.com/product/allis-chalmers-lettering-seat-back-foil-decal-338338/

October 1964 or before the decal was changed to the diamond sawtooth design part #923383, per 190 parts book dated 10/64. 923383 was used till at least Sept 1965. We are working on getting these decals made.

The first documented use we have of the corporate reflective decal 924273 is D15 #21197, (December 1965) on a creme pan. D15 #21636 (Feb 1966) also had 924273 on creme pan as well as D17 #83330 (June 1966).  924244 is NOT the correct decal, it has a white background, not grey reflective like the original one: https://awtractor.com/product/allis-chalmers-corporate-logo-seat-back-decal-924273/  The 924273 corporate A decal was used on creme seat pans for a while until the pans changed to black at unknown date in 1966.
