D17 sold at auction.

Wow, that's really sad for the seller but, I would have sure been happy as the buyer even with a 10% buyer premium.

I was at two estate sells, yesterday and today, I got a D14 for $400 and today, a 12", 3 point, 3 bottom plow for $50.

I payed the asking price for the D14 (rough shape). Most everything had bee sold at the one today, they asked me to make a offer on the plow. I said $50 but, the way it was going, I'm sure I could have got it for $20 and they would have been happy, they didn't have to haul it for scrape.

Both family's had hard working parents. The D14 guy was in his 80's when he pasted and the one today was 93, when he died, this year.

$1500 is the new retail. Talked to two folks over the weekend and they told how the widow sold their tractors cheep. Lots of talk, but no one pays the price it brought ten years ago. I had 7 tractors this summer from the "Widow" Thought I could at least break even. I found it took all summer to sell running WC tractors for $500 each. I had to deliver two of them to make the deal. Three tractors where driven to their new home.

When I got there, two guys where starting to load a WC. It was painted Oliver green, front to back and had a side, sickle mower on it. It had almost new rear tires on it, that that feature stood out.

It had a Oliver seat on it and the decal, on the back, was in very good shape. I thought that I might have a new AC friend so, I started talking to them. They had thought that they bought a Oliver tractor (though they had no idea what model Oliver they might  have) and it took me a few minutes to convince them, that it was a Allis Chalmers.

I invited them to join our forum, to find out about their tractor and where to get parts so, if a dark green, WC shows up, you get to see it (looks very odd, that color). I asked the price and it was $300.
