Just ordered a decal set for my series 1 D17 diesel from Maple Hunter decals last night. It was missing the decal that goes on the throttle/hydraulic plate at the steering wheel but she added that one to my kit. Is it gas or diesel?

My tractor actually has the raised letter hood emblems but I only got one of them when I traded for it . Its actually cheaper to buy a decal set than it is to replace the missing aluminum allis emblem .

A salvage yard may have them if you want to stay with the aluminum emblem.

There is also a power crater decal on the engine and a decal on the top of the transport valve.  Sorry, I don't have any photos.

Also a decal that states pull from drawbar only, I will look in my manual for location I think that they were at the same location through out the series. Mine also has a oil bath filter with a yellow decal there giving service instructions

Not a very good quality decal kit if it is cheaper than one of the name plates.  When it comes to decals and paint, spend extra to get good quality.

Myron is correct, find the correct decals including the aluminum name plate. Look up Maple Hunter decals of Indiana and look on their website for the correct year for the correct decals. Decals changed over the different models.
I received my decals today and they look just like what came on my 59’ D17

That’s great news. Also a decal at the engine antifreeze drain below the petcock. I think it says Drain Here

I have a very original Series II. Awesome tractor. The Series II used aluminum plates not decals.  They also look very cool.  That is what you need if you want it original.  If you don't care than I suppose a decal would work, however I'd expect holes in the hood where the rivets were attached.  What ever you decide, thanks in advance for restoring and saving an A-C.  We need to keep as many as possible.

Except for the seat and rear lights, it looks exactly like mine.  Your foot pedals look almost like new which is a great thing.  I hope you enjoy your Series II as much as I enjoy mine.  The Series that got forgotten.  Have fun!

Not too crazy about the seat . Rather have original but too costly to run down now so I'll live with it . I am replacing the rear lights with the original style bullet  tail light and a yellow lens floodlamp on the other side .

Better take a close look at the spring from the blocks drain cock to the carburetor. Someone has it connected to the throttle butterfly, instead of the choke. That usually means the governor isn't adjusted or working properly. It will NEVER run up to max speed or HP like that.

Nice looking tractor Richard. Take your time and make it the way you want it to be. Everyone has a budget, change things out when it works for you. Glad you found a aluminum name plate, that’s a great start.
