Have a D17 Series 2.
Power steering not working as it should. Sometimes it steers like a mule to the left, other times its ok. The fluid foams and if I try to fill it it comes out the breather. put 5w 20 oil in it. any help would be great. thank you

Wide front or narrow front? I run 821 Hydraulic oil in my series 1 narrow front. I would drain the system and replace the oil if you haven't already done so. Fill only to cover the gears, you may be over filling it? Check the breather and make sure it is clean so it functions properly.

5W-20 is engine oil, correct ??? Engine oil could have a foaming effect that the proper type of HYDRAULIC oil doesn't have. Has the problem surfaced when changing to this 5W-30 oil?? if so, drain it and get Hytran/HyGard or AGCO 821 oil in there and just cover the gears with fluid. Any fuller than that and it will vomit out the excess.
