Is there a good way to check one out..?.lift arms won't lift...fluid levels all correct....thinking of removing covers , draining, and new fluid....might have a stuck spring or relief valve??

Check the transmission oil level.
If it is high, there is a good possibility that the internal hose broke. |

Check the pressure with a pressure gauge. Should be over 3000 psi

Probably not the cam lobes as much as the rollers on the pumping arms. As long as you are FULL of hydraulic oil ( dipstick below fuel tank on right side of tractor with breather on the top of it) you about have to remove the pump for repairs if the pressure at the remote outlet isn't at least 3,000 psi. |

If that is true, then the hydraulic compartment will be very low on oil and the transmission (to the right of the gearshift) will be overfull. He claims all THREE fluid levels are fine.

I had this same problem with my CA. It turned out the springs under the plungers in the pump had all broken so the plungers weren't following the rollers. 4 new springs problem solved.
