Are you sure you don't have a 1961 D-14 ???    D-15's are 1962 and up. What is your serial number ??

Does the Power Director Hi / Lo Lever have the Thumb Guard at the top.

If 'No' - it is a D-14.

If 'Yes' - it is a D-15.

Also post a clear photo of the Tractor Serial No.

Dr.

The last D-14 and the first D-15 occurred in 1960.

Possibly on the same day, unless some major renovations were planned between the model change.

I have witnessed Model changes occur in the same hour of the same day if there is little change.

On the other hand I have witnessed Pickup Truck Model change take over 6 months due to a total Plant Tear-Out and complete Refurbishment.

Yes, my bad. Didn't have the book in front of me. But there are 1960 D-14's and 1960 D-15's as the D-15 was introduced mid year.   D-15's always the new cream grille screen with horizontal screening while D-14's were always black and an "X" screen pattern.

Norm's bible states that the D15 was the first tractor to be painted persian orange 2 in 1960.  No D15 ever had a black bar grille either.  A D14 black bar grille would not fit.

This was brought up on the Facebook page a few days ago.  I suggested it was a late D14.  I asked to provide a picture of the tractor and serial number - none have been posted to date.

I have a 61 D15 diesel - Persian orange 2!
