I just melted my wiring. Does anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram for a D14 that has been converted to 12V? It has an alternator and a push button starter as well as the usual gauges. Thanks.

Hey MMorris, I have a dwg. I downloaded with a very simple 6 to 12 volt conversion with Key/ solenoid start. It has Napa part numbers if you want to use napa parts. It uses the universal 4 position ignition switch, an amp gauge and a toggle switch for the lights.
I plan to use this version on my D14, as I like the negative ground system instead of the allis positive ground. Don't ask me why.
If you're interested, I will try to scan it to my hard drive and post it or email to you. Joe r

Thanks, desertjoe! My system is negative ground.
I'm in no hurry, but that diagram would be appreciated.

Any computer "Gurus" care to offer suggestions? Thanks Joe r

There are hundreds of drawings if you search google. It depends on what you have for a generator or alternator whether you need a voltage regulator, and what you use for a coil.
6 volt coil would need a ballast resistor, 12 volt 3 ohm coil wouldn't.
