Would like to know exactly where the serial number is located on a D14. I found AM 4494 on the left rear axle housing, would this be it? Thanks!

No, it's on the edge of the torque tube where it joins the engine - I think on the lsft side of the tractor as you face the front.  It will start with the letter "D" if I am remembering correctly.

Just remember the D-14 had a limited life of 3 years - from 1957 to 1960.  It was replaced by an upgraded D-15 in 1960.
The serial number reference is a feature of this forum.

Thanks Tim, I found it and the D14 I just bought is a 1958 model. It is in great condition, everything works on it and it runs beautifully. Can't wait to start sprucing it up!
