I have a chance to buy a D14 and D12 tractors. They both run and hydraulics work. The d12 I believe is a series II light are on the radiator shroud not the fenders. It has the factory 3pt also, but was converted to an alternator . The d14 is an early model. I have not gotten a chance to get the serial numbers and neither have an hour meter. Saw no problem with the gears in the video but I will have to check that. All sheet metal is there and tires are 70%. What do you think they should cost.

Gotta look at the valve stem holes on the rear tires and see if there is any corrosion. New rims are expensive. Try to find out if the rears are loaded. The first thing I do is drain the tires and pull the rear tires off, clean up the rims and put in new tubes. I agree with Jay on the prices. It looks like someone put 28" tires on the rear of the 14. Not a big deal, but they came with 26"

Thanks guys... I agree with the valve stems and I hope they are not loaded. I noticed the larger tires on the D14. I have 2 D15 series I diesels and they have 26's so I gathered the 14 should have the same size.

This D12 is close to my home. I thought about going to look at it myself, but I don't need it. I thought it might make a good price comparison for you. I felt like it was a little high, but I do think a D12 would be more than a D14 just because of the rarity.

Those are still the original wheel centers on the D-14, so they are still 26" tires. 26" and 28" wheel centers have a different dish to them. D-14's came stock with 13.6-26 tires, those in the pic are probably 14.9-26 as that size is much easier and cheaper to find. HTH. Don Jr.

Make sure the entire draw bar and draw bar hanger are included as those on a factory 3-pt. D10/12 are not cheap separately, nor easy to come by.
If not included, that can easily become a big negotiating point on overall price.

yeah Don's right,,, 14.9s are 'combine' tires, I paid $50 a side for mine,on rims, still have air in them from 10 year ago ! I'd buy the tractors if I was closer...$3500-4K for TWO RUNNING TRACTORS !! Heck a 'riding lawnmower' will cost most of that today.... Jay

D14 has no rear weights , dose it have power steering ? . If no P/S . $1500. would be pushing high end.

I'd buy them both as cheap as possible and sell the D12 to try to get close to all my money back. The D14 will do anything the D12 can do and more. I've owned D10,D12,D14 D15 tractors and have never understood why the D10 and especially the D12's will sell for a lot more than a D14 or D15.Take the D14 put on small tires and have basically a D12 with a PD.

The Series II and III D-10/12 have true independent PTO and hydraulics. That's their advantage over a D-14.

So I bit the bullet and got both tractors for $2800... Merry Christmas to me! Both run but needed a charge. D12 is in good shape with all of the three point. Front grill screen is missing, hopefully can find one. Has an alternator instead of the generator too. D14 is in just as good of shape. Missing the snap coupler latches because of the aftermarket 3pt. I will have to wait to start the restorations because I am in the middle of restoring an ED40. Thanks for everyone's help and Merry Christmas!
