That does make sense Larry. The switch might be stuck in the start position. I will get another one.
Thanks, Jeff BTW - How's things in NC? Is everything good?

Guys, I have a head scratcher over here in West Michigan. Today I was getting my tractor ready for the first show of the year this coming weekend and when I turned the key it failed to start because it would not turn over strong enough but when I turned the key to the off position it continued to slowly turn over (starter did not disengage) until the battery didn't have enough power to turn it over. This went on for about 30 seconds until I could get the battery cable unhooked. The starter felt warmer than it should but not hot.
The battery is old but I think it has enough juice. I am going to get a new battery anyway but do you guys have any other suggestions or ideas of what this might be? I am thinking solenoid but I am not sure of that. Thanks, Jeff
