Due to my wife's health issues I have been away from the forum for some time. I now have time to play with my orange. I have found a single front wheel, factory high crop, D17 d . At this time I do not have a serial no. and the tractor is 200 miles away. Pictures show sheet metal in very good shape, white grill, missing draw bar, flat rear tires. Was told that it last run 8 years ago when parked.  Based on this what does everyone think that it is worth?

Rex: Glad you are back! I have missed you. I just finished restoring one like you are describing, only a blackbar grill, 1960. I can't post pictures, but to answer your question, I hope it is worth a lot.  Dave. Maddux

The condition of the engine is everything.  They are very similar to the WD45 Diesel engine which is a pricey adventure.  I had a chance to buy a $800 D17 diesel that was running, but had a tick in the engine, it wasn't a high crop, and had a few other problems, but I passed on it, due to the cost of the possible engine work.
