A D-17 Series IV is exactly the Model Allis the Model 517 Loader was meant for.

The Live Hydraulic on the Series IV means you don't need the front pump or the hydraulic control valves mounted on the Loader Frame like the 400 Series Loaders.

The 517 is a great loader, the towers are a little tall to see over on a D17 or 170, I think the loader would be better on a 180/185 for that reason but other than that it's a good strong loader.

Did New Idea build some of the Allis Loaders?
There seems to be some similarities.
