Czech-Based CZ-USA Chooses Little Rock, Arkansas, for Firearms Plant 04/24/2019 CZ-USA, the U.S.-based affiliate of Czech firearms manufacturer Ceská zbrojovka a.s. Uherský Brod, plans to locate their North American Headquarters and build a new manufacturing facility on approximately 73 acres at the Port of Little Rock, Arkansas.
The company plans to implement a two-phase approach with an investment of up to $90 million and create some 565 jobs over a six-year period. Construction will begin immediately, with initial start-up planned for March 2020. Production at the Little Rock facility will commence in two, 3-year phases.
“As CZ looked to increase our presence in North America, it engaged in a multi-state search for the ideal location,” said Bogdan Heczko, CZ-USA Chairman of the Board. “The Arkansas workforce, culture, business climate and industry support cleared the way for us to choose Little Rock as our new home.”
In 2018, the Czech Republic imported some $2.6 million in commodities into Arkansas, and Arkansas exports to the country totaled roughly $8.2 million. Nearly 300 foreign-owned companies have operations in the state; however, CZ-USA is the first Czech company to have a presence in Arkansas.

Has any else noticed that many US gun companies have manufacturing facilities in Mass , New York or Ct on the east coast in some the most gun restrictive states know to man kind? I wonder why they the gun companies stay there?

The companies were incorporated there 75 to 150 years ago. So they still have a office but I don't know if there is any manufacturing done there. I think all the old name gun companies are foreign owned today. So I don't think anything much the states can suck money from.
Roy Weatherbee started in the LA area,his son took over and moved up here in 80's,now the grandson moved it all to Wyoming. Since the son didn't want to live with the "pretty" and cold he is still here for winters at least. So there maybe a office with company name still here. But they dang sure got the big money out of the reach of this ant anything common sense state.

In this little county we have Nighthawk Customs and Wilson Combat. The company I work for just built a neat add on to Nighthawk. We built a 32x40 vault in the old part.
I can’t afford a Nighthawk but it’s a very interesting place to work. I know several people there and got to see a lot of neat work.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out quality wise. The Czech Republic is well known for it's skilled work force, often times working with sub-par equipment, yet still turning out excellent products. And a skilled workforce is rapidly becoming extinct in this country. I may be wrong, but I'm thinking as time marches forward C-Z firearms will be labeled as Pre-USA and Post-USA built, much like Winchester products and 1964. As for Weatherby, they built very little outside of custom work, mostly all they do in house is assembly and finishing.

Ken I tend to agree but I blame greed not lack of ability. I believe Post 64 Winchester’s were cheapened up intentionally to use less time and material but sell for the same. Same for Remington and Remington turned it around to some extent. There is a reason an American made Hi-point is 200 and an American made Nighthawk is 4000. On the flip I totally agree with the Ckeck CZ’s very well built and durable. Only time will tell what the US version will be.
