What kind of crop are you cultivating? Reminds me of a LOT of days spent on a WD doing the same thing in a cotton field. That was quite a few moons ago.

Thats field corn. Glad you guys like these pics. If I can bring back memories for anyone who grew up on orange farm equipment, its all worth it.

The C seemed to be running a little on the rough side. When I start it cold, it purrs just like it should. Then after about 15-20 min. she runs rough. I have tweaked the carb every way I know how, and it wont fix it. Think my condensor is shot? Or she need a valve job?

I'm just wondering if it is running rich. Get it warmed up until it's running bad, then turn off the petcock and run it until it runs out of gas. If it runs real good just before it dies, I'm betting the carb is too rich for one reason or another.

Wow, two rows at a time; I remember my Dad's B with a one-row cultivator and me (as a little kid) following behind in case a stone knocked over a stalk of corn or some other minor disastor!  LOL
Wonderful pictures; takes me back 60 years or so.
Thanks

There are many reasons I like to work on and use old tractors. Again, if I can bring back memories for anyone that experienced farm life back then, its all worth it to me.

I have had that zenith carb apart about 3 times, and cleaned it. I am either going to replace the condensor, and maybe put an inline fuel filter in. Won't be original, but might be the ticket.

And yes, we didn't use any sheilds. That muck ground dirt sure rolled up around the corn plant real nice, almost too nice in a couple spots.

The C was a very neat two row cultivating tractor.  Handled easy and looked great.
Thanks for sharing the pictures.
Good Luck!

Yep condensor or coil could be the problem since it occurrs on a warm engine.

Great Pictures!  If they were a little bigger i would add them to my screen saver. Cultivators have to be the least respected implements.  I have found that it is increasingly hard to find a complete set.  Most of the time, the only thing that is left are the front and (maybe) the rear gangs.  All the brackets and lifting components get lost and make the rest worthless.  Kudos to you for owning and USING two complete #81 cultivators.

Don,
Thanks for the pics! They're great! Good move on the condenser. Could be that little bugger causing your miss. Also, the Mag may be equipped with an old tar taped coil. That will also cause the same problem.... HTH
