Persian Orange #1 from 1929-1960 and Persian Orange #2 from 1960-1977, I think Per. Or. #2 and corporate are the same, if not then I would say 1977? Edited by MNLonnie - 07 Aug 2011 at 9:28am |

I know they started using a different shade of orange in 1971.
Don't know what they called it. |

Corporate orange is not the same as P.O. 2. Has more red in it.

It was before 1977 because the 300 series lawn tractors were corporate orange back in 1971.

I believe corporate orange came out with the "new family of tractors" i.e. 7030 & 7050. Don't remember what year that was but sometime in the early '70's; maybe 1972?

I have to agree with Kevin. 1977 Was stated in Norm's book. The 7000 series got new paint schemes and decals.

I was at the 7020, 7045 introduction in Kansas City in 1977, also was the intro of the Corporate Orange paint color, the black chassis and the new decal scheme. I certainly dont know about the 300 lawn tractors, but I do know Corporate Orange didnt come to the tractor line before 1977.

That's when they started using it on farm tractors. From Simple Tractors: Allis-Chalmers Orange: Used on 300 Series and later. The color is Corporate Orange, as shown on the linked brochure, above, and is available through the dealers or most agricultural supply companies. Do NOT confuse this color with Persian Orange, which was used on agricultural tractors. See the Links page for some supply companies with on-line catalogs or to locate your local Agco dealer. |
