Seen the odd post online where people have re routed the exhaust to the corner post. I have a 7045 i'm fixing up and needs a new stack.
Likely run a straight pipe but now wondering about running it along the cab for better visibility, anyone have any pics? I'm hand with a welder so that's no prob for me Still leaves the intake, not sure if it could be moves very easily

Would be easy to move intake. Just ditch the pre-cleaner. But I don't know if that's a good idea

Why would you want to move the intake ? Exhaust will be very easy, but then again - why ? As Allis had it very easy to see around

The correct size pre-cleaner can be mounted under the hood. Been there and dun that.

Guess it's all about the look you want, and what you want to look (at)! ![]() My 7045 is our first and so far only "big" tractor. Even at the test drive, I thought holy crap, that's a lot to look at on the hood, everything so large in comparison to what I had. But, reality is it doesn't block the view of anything you need to see, and after a few days I really didn't think of it anymore. Dang it all, next time I drive it, I'll probably be staring at the intake and exhaust again! ![]() |

I know where there's a 7080 with the corner exhaust, I'll try and get some pictures.

Went to an auction a few years back with a 7000 with side exhaust, looked neat but didn't take any pictures.

I wonder if relocating the 7000 series exhaust to it’s right front corner of the cab, increases the decibel level for the operator inside the cab?

I'd be making a framework that attached to the side frame and not the cab structure. Some sort of muffler would help keep the noise down and an exit elbow of some sort pointing the noise away from the cab would also be good.

If they had a cummins conversion wouldn't they be more likely to get a cab corner exhaust.

I just checked on a price for a muffler for a 7060 and don't know how many days it will take to get over sticker shock.

Most new tractors with corner exhaust are doubled walled. They are mounted away from the cab on frame work. I would try to avoid cutting side panels! What is the price of a new muffler,Grandpa has one for a 7030 sitting in the corner of a milk house.

Just getting to reading the replies, Thanks for the picture of that 7080, looks like a real nice job.
If I do go ahead with this I'll build a support to the frame rail, Not going to be attaching to the cab posts or cutting through any panels. |

If the stock muffler gives you sticker shock then check the price of a double walled one...... I'll just stick with the regular set up. I can see just fine. I surely wouldn't butcher any part of the tractor for something that really isn't a problem for me though that 7080 looks like it was done right. I wonder if that made a nice looking plug to cove the exhaust hole in the hood?

Nice work on the 7080. I do like the looks of the original muffler as well. Makes it look mean. I think that chrome setup going thru the hood would be really cool. 😀
