I realize that the "current" planting-harvest season "here" was iff'y again to the weather this spring. Talked to a friend "BTO" tonight that informed me that they are out of storage space due to the yields that they are experiencing Ouch. IMO, it's no wonder that the $ of corn is/will be sub $3 for a LONG time to come CryCry

Alot of places seem to have room yet and not that big of a crop around here. guys are getting done and reporting some good yields but it all seems to be going somewhere. Report comes out Tuesday. Corn price here in the 3.70 range.

Cargill in Gibbon NE, said they were over 2 million bushels short of projection this year.  That was as of the 31st of October, and most in the area were done.  I imagine more grain went into storage this year at least in our area.  Yields were of in some fields do to wind and hail damage, but fairly on par in others.

under average yields in this neighborhood this year ----most of it went straight to market from the fields --- not many bins got filled this time.

1/4-1/3 of bottomland acreage here did not get planted as remained too wet.  Contract corn is being shipped out and uncontracted grain of all types is sitting in bins awaiting the market uptick.
