Another newbie question.  My radiator was stolen so of course they cut the lines.  Confusing thing is there are 3 lines that seem to be cooler lines to the radiator.  I see 2 in the parts book.  What is the 3rd and where does it go?
There is one short line from the filter on the left but there are 2 on the right.

Assuming you are still talking about the 70xx series, there were two hoses that went into one side, using a pipe "tee" at the cooler port.  then only one line on the other side.  Some tractors had an auxiliary trans oil cooler, your probably does it is has the three lines, but upon hazy reflection, and the parts books, I do seem to remember both sides would have two lines in the bottom of the radiator if you have the aux cooler.  If they stole the radiator, maybe they got the aux cooler also, and the 4th line went with it.

Take a look at agco parts books . com for your tractor, and you will see a pretty good illustration.

Same 7040.   I guess that would help.
I looked there before I posted here but I only see one line on each side.
I just looked again and I think I see the issue.  There appears to be a cooler in the radiator and a separate cooled they call the power steering cooler.  that means I'm not seeing a 4th line?  Maybe between the power steering cooler and the T you mentioned?
Thanks!

The power steering lines and the transmission lines should not interconnect, those are two different hydraulic circuits.  Mixing those could cause all sorts of problems.

I thought you were talking about a 7040, which shouldn't have the aux trans cooler, but it could easily be added, look at a 7060 for example, and you will see what I am talking about.

It has a transmission cooler in the radiator and an external cooler for the power steering.  I found the 4th line it is up high over the engine.
I have ordered a service manual and operator's manual.
