I'm sittin here readin some news and,,,and,,,,there was this " LOUD POP" not quite like a .22 but still out of the blue,,,,took a quick glance at the winder and no broken glass,,,so I hit the floor anyway and rolled to the couch and drug out the 9MM, cranked it up right quick,,,and just laid there for a few til my hands got tired holdin the 9 so dang tight,,,I'm wonderin what the hell is goin on and if the G-men is outside,,, It finally dawns on me that the winder is NOT broke and as I get up,,I see what looks like a shiny round thingie bout the size of a pencil eraser layin on the carpet. Can't figure what it may be, SOOo, I sit at my computor table and I see the btm part of one of them watch batteries on the table,,,and it looks like it came apart almost like it blew up,,! I get the other part and it matches this one,, and is a Sunbeam 357 battery that I had replaced some weeks ago on my Lazer pointer and had been laying on my PC table for all this time,,,!! What the heck,,??? Whew,,sure glad it warn't them G-men,,tho,,,,,

A Bic lighter laying on an electric blanket can provide similar results. Only difference was I had a 38 instead of a 9.
I even felt the hit in the mattress.

I was just yanking your chain a bit Joe! although, mine is almost always with in arms reach, if not on my belt. Exception is currently I have visiting nurses coming to the house, so I gotta' keep them hidden. They have already asked me if I fell safe in my house, asked my wife about nine months ago when she was in the hospital, too. If they saw a loaded gun in the house they probably call the SWAT out!

OH,,I Know it ,,Lou,,, It just never ceases to amaze me how some people are SOOOooo against havin guns for the sole purpose of defending your property and your family. You just cannot reason with a drug crazed person and he/she prolly ain't gonna take NO for an answer as he/she already made that very wrong decision when he/she busted your door down. I cannot imagine just WHAT I will do if that ever happens,,but I am sure the protection of my family and property will be foremost in my mind. I'm a firm believer in the sayin,,, "WHEN SECONDS COUNT,,THE POLICE ARE MINUTES AWAY" What is really worrisome is the AH's pushing for Defunding the Police,,,who the hell are they gonna call should they have a drug crazed idiot hammering on THEIR door? OK,, I'm done,,sorry,,,,,

OH,,thats a fact,,Steve,, I used to hand load for my 25.06, the 30.06 and the shotguns, At some time I had several cans of 4831 that I used on the 25.06 and the 30.06 plus a
load of primers and several different bullets for each. I cannot remember what powder I used on the shotguns tho,,,, I believe I saw the RCBS press hangin from the rafters ,,I oughta go look,,huh,?? |
