Was in town today and ran across a bargain I could not help myself with and bought a big adz frozen turkey. Any special easy, efficient way to cut it up in say four pieces while still frozen? I don't have a big band saw and the chain saw is not an option.

I've used Saws-All on frozen Boston Butts to cut thick steaks that my local retailer would have super specials on.

Yes a recip saw does good on a wild hog or deer. So should be ok for a frozen turkey.
Have not looked at chas's link,but somewhere in the 50's my dad and a friend tried the chainsaw to split a large beef. They only did it once.Before my time but I know bone chips was common complaint. The electric recipe saws ranch harvest butchers use today are from the paper industry.

Take an old steak knife, and remove the hilt, and grind the tang to the same shape as sawsall blade tang. Cooked turkey don't need the teeth to go through it, lessn you wants turkey sawdust, to thicken up the gravy!

My dad had a stainless meat blade about 16" long and a saws all that was never used for anything but meat. His uncle used to quarter beef with a small electric chainsaw that had a modified chain and no oiler. It worked great we did rinse the sawdust off before caring inside to hang before butchering.
