Hello Everyone.

I have an opportunity to bid on a Carco Winch in my area. Looking for one for my ACHD16 DC.

I know that you have to have the correct adapter plate and PTO Shaft for this to work. The unit I am looking at is an E series. Can someone let me know what the Preferred Winch should be for my HD16DC please.

I had someone tell me that it should be a G series like a G4 or G80.

Thank you

Hi Jerry
Carco model E was designed to fit HD5 and 6 or IH TD6 and 9
Next model was a F for HD9 and 11 or TD14
One you want is a model G later one is G4 and latest  one a G80.
Uncle had a G4 on his HD16DC logging native timber in new zealand, said dug in it would break 1 1/8 wire rope. He pulled alot of big heavy timber with it and afaik never broke it or the 16  !
Biggest Carco model was a J10 and J120 for HD21 and TD25s
Cheers Merv

I have been trying to find the weight for a Carco G4 or G80 winch for the purpose of mounting and getting off flatbread if delivered.

I have a Bobcat 855 Skidsteer with a lift capacity of 2,000 lbs.

Thank you HD6 Merv.   Might tax my skidsteer getting off a low boy but now I have a rough idea.

Thank you again.
