Hi,
I'm restoring a 1947 Allis B and the Marvel-Schebler TSX-154 carburetor is missing the gasoline drain strainer. The brass retaining ring is still there but either the felt or curled hair part is missing and I haven't been able to locate a replacement. None came with the "Complete Carburetor Kit" I purchased. My question is: Does anyone know if this part is available and if not what could be used as a substitute. The part is suppose to allow gas to drain if the carburetor floods but keep dirt from being sucked into the system. Thanks! |

Thanks! Now that I know the part number I'll have no trouble finding one.
