Can a WD-45 pull a rock picker

Does any one think that a WD-45 can pull a rotary type rock picker.  It is a anderson that pulls directly behind the tractor with about a 6ft swath. It needs power from the PTO and Hydraulics. Would a WD-45 with loaded tires and snap-on duals have a problem with this in sandy soil or on hills.

3 WD45's with power steering,G,D15 fork lift,D19, W-Speed Patrol, "A" Gleaner with a 330 corn head,"66" combine,roto-baler, and lots of Snap Coupler implements to make them work for their keep.

I guess they are actually clamp on duals that have 4 hooks that go in the power adjust rails and are threaded on the straight end and a nut is used to hold them on

We bought a brand new vermeer rock picker a few years ago. We were told you could run it up to 4 inches in the ground. Man was that thing a mistake. Turns out you can run them in the ground but it will work more like a paddle scraper. You get a bucket full of dirt with whatever rocks were mixed in with it. We pulled it with a Jd 6420 which is about 95 horse. Pulling it a couple inches in the ground you couldnt really tell it was back there. If you ran it ontop of the ground like i think their really meant to you shouldn't have to much power trouble depending on how fast you wanted to go. Traction would be your main concern I would say. Ours had pretty big dump cylinders so I dont know how you would be on hydraulics. Hope this helps, if i am wrong on how these are supposed to work though please correct me. thanks

This is the same model of machine, owners manual say it is supposed to dig in to the ground but it will not work right in real heavy or damp soil works best in sand.

Can you go to the manufacturer's website and see how much HP is required for that model? That might help you some.

I seen this pic on yesterday's tractors.  It is a Cockshutt 40 pulling a Degleman rock picker.  A Cockshutt 40 is roughly same hp as a WD45 but the larger tires would surley be a help.

Don't know how hard they would be to find now but I bet there were lot of them in the '50s and '60s.  I know my Grandpa had them on his 45.
 
Lot's of today tractors have 28" wheels on the front, maybe something could be made from front wheel assist duals.
