A fella I knew was moving and I picked up 15 panels for 500.00 including a number of ride through gates. Handy to have and easy to handle when you change things up including putting 4-5 around the burn pile to keep everyone out of it, slide em' back 30-40 feet before I burn and just slide em' back in-place the next day.
Used some to add to my pen system with one ride through gate that allows them to enter the pen system when they want and their curiosity get's them used to entering same for vaccinating/worming, just shut the small gate attached at the sweep and they can then be run through the alley and pile up in the shute/headgate for working them.
Two each 15' deep at 12' width at the fence allows for a trough feeder at the fence for feeding.
The entry is a 12' with ride through gate. I left the gate frame in-place & used a sawzall to remove the lower laterals while keeping the overall gate frame in-place that they just walk over as at ground level. Ground off any sharp edges on laterals removed and drilled one removed lateral pc. for adding chain link fence loop adapters (any box store) to each end so one could be reinstalled/adjusted for a height limiter to keep anyone over 500# out. Adjusts easy and when I get some newborns dropping and want to stop the bigger calves that are due to switch to liquid feed exclusively, slide space bar down and re-clamp at the height I need for little ones that tend to start on 1/4" creep at 3 weeks old.
Works good, been in-place for years with lite chains used for closing gates or holding them open, just leave chains short as they will put excess chain "tails" down their throat sucking on them.
Helluva lot cheaper than creep feeders from the feed store, panels are adjustable, easy to move and can be used for multiple options elsewhere.
