My CA will shut off after running for 10-15 minutes, while driving and doing some light disc work. I already checked fuel flow- everything flows well in to the carb. There is also good air flow into the carb. Am I correct in narrowing down the issue to either the carb needing to be cleaned, or an electrical issue with the distributor possibly?

If it starts right back up after the engine dies I would suspect fuel flow such as something in the tank plugging the fuel riser inside the tank. If it has to cool off before starting again I would suspect maybe the coil. You will need to check for spark when it won't restart.

Sounds like replacing the coil would be a good place to start

X2 These fancy new shiny chrome gas caps for CA's say they are vented but they don't work. One of mine even has a sticker on it says vented. Next time it dies, immediately reach up and loosen the gas cap and listen for air being sucked into the tank.

Try to find a "made in America" condenser. Yes, I'd try the coil first and see what happens. THEN change out the condenser. Usually it's the coil.
