I was at work today thinking the same thing. It would be nice to have power steering on the ca. With the weights, loader, and blade, this thing might be a little hard to turn.

Char-Lynn would be a simple way to do it. I have a Char-Lynn on my D14 and it works real well.JP

A couple of years ago someone on here posted about how to put ps on his CA. He used car parts from a junkyard, if I remember right. A small pump from a car and the steering sector was inside the cowling under the gas tank. What he had looked good but a person really needed to know what he's doing to get it together.

There was a gentleman who used to post on the forum who designed a PS system for his CA.  He utilized the bosses that protrude from the front shroud to attach a front-mounted pump.  He put a Char-Lynn torque generator inline on the steering shaft.  I don't recall where he placed the reservoir.  It was a very well-engineered setup.

A D series system would not work.  The whole front casting would be needed and will not bolt up.  Steering linkage is totally different too.

Thanks a lot for all the input!
I certainly appreciate it, even though
it won't work. : - ))
P.S. I am still learning - I just got this little fellow.
