On my 1951 CA the bolt that holds the hand clutch on came out and the threads are all gone in part where the bolt threads into. I need help on how to fix this problem. Any help is appreciated, thanks Steve

I had the same problem, and a heli coil thread insert fixed it right up. The biggest trick is finding the right size drill bit, since you will be over the 1/2 inch size to put in the oversize threads to hold a heli coil. I couldn't find a bit, so I wallered the 1/2 inch bit around in the hole a little and the new thread tap was able to cut threads then. I am not recommending that step, but that is what I did out of desperation.

I think it takes a 33/64's drill for that helicoil. HTH Tracy Martin
