I am having a little problem with my clutch adjustment. I recently replaced my CA foot clutch, and after I put it back together, I adjusted the clutch through the inspection hole. The clutch works great, but after a little bit of use, the clutch starts getting lose, and won't fully engage. It looks like each finger on the pressure plate has a bolt to adjust the finger, and a nut to lock it in place, but I can't figure out how to adjust it and then tighten the nut through the inspection hole. Anybody have any hints about how to get it to stay in adjustment? Thanks!

I have made a jig to bolt to the back of the engine after installing the clutch assembly to the flywheel. I adjust the fingers to give 1/8" (I know the book calls for 1/4", but that doesn't get the correct free play) clearance to the throwout bearing and the free play at the pedal is always correct after sliding the engine to the bellhousing.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

Do you use the head of the bolt to adjust the distance between the fingers and the throwout bearing, and then use the nut to hold it in place?
