My C is going to be used for a trail mower at a friends place so will be used by a couple different operators. I thought it would be a good idea to convert it to push button start as the contact rod is a little tough to operate.

Does the contact thingy in the starter just unscrew? Can I just replace it with a stud? I thought someone would have a conversion kit but I haven't been able to find anything, so I was just going to hook up a ford style solenoid to a push button switch. Run the lead to the starter and call it good. Just have to finger out how to connect at the starter.
cheers,
Creek

I have one that is already set up for what you want to do.  If you have time and want to do it, I would trade you starters.  I need one for the original set up.  We can ship in a USPS flat rate box for about $20.00.  PM me if you want to do this and I will give you my phone number or give me your phone number and I will call you.  Den

Own 4 wheel 20, 2-5015, 5020 and associated equipment and 2 electric forklifts.
