Started my C Friday and there is a "tick" in the engine and occasionally it will knock and have a pop out of the exhaust.  When I turn it off sometimes there is white smoke that comes out of the carb.  It had this last year but it didn't get much work.  Any thoughts of what I should look at first.

Thanks

Pull valve cover. Sounds like a stuck or sticking valve to me. With luck and your favorite panther juice,(I like Kroil), you might be able to free it up without pulling head.

You might try a can of Sea Foam. Put half in with a couple gallons of gas and the rest in the crankcase. Take her out and work her somehow for an hour or two. Make it at least get up to the middle of the green on the temp gauge for a good while.
