That clip looks just like the little clip that held the washer fluid hose to the firewall on 60's GM cars/trucks. I have a handful of them off some of the old Nova's I had over the years. Great idea fir' sure Dale!  Thumbs Up

I had to google this thread to find it, it would not come up using the forum search tool.

I had gotten this tractor running well and we were mowing yard with it, but last summer it began to get worse over time, it would stumble and sputter, and run poorly. I happened to notice a small metal burr on the fuel cap, low and behold some previous owner had drilled a vent hole in the top. Well it had sat out a few times and gotten rained on, so I cleaned and purged the fuel system again and the stumble went away. I never saw any of these need a tank vent but i guess the last guy did.
