Some pictures from last Sunday. 8 pickup loads. I know many will say how dangerous a buzz saw is, but so is a chainsaw. Just need to be very respectful of machinery.

Makes me tkink of the one my dad had on a WC .Mandel was mounted on front of tractor on wood rails fastened to tractor rails with pice running out in front of saw to lay material on . My job was to offbwear when growing up. Some saturdays it would be practial all day long . Never had a guard of any kind.

Yea we had one of the stationary ones run off the belt pulley. As has been said, ya gotta be carefull. Those of us who used it still have our body complete.

I have 2, one mounts on the tractor, the other is stationary. I used the stationary one with the B once just to try it out. My blade needs work and I decided you need a conveyor to haul the pieces away. I had planned to mount the other one on the WC some day.
Maybe if a guy made his pile of long stuff up on a hill, the cut pieces could roll down out of the way. LOL

i have one of those that dad and i used to ues on our 45.we cut alot of wood with that thing but rarely use it anymore . mine is a metal frame with a wooden table and the bearings have oilers on them.when i get the unstyled wc done ill put it on there for display purposes, i took a piece of milker hose and split it so it covers the teeth up....Jb

I had one of them several years ago but didn't have a running tractor with a belt pulley. I did have a old WD without a engine that had a belt pulley. What I did was mount the saw on the old WD, got a double ended PTO shaft, and connected my 175 PTO to the WD PTO, running it with the 175. I did have to put a twist in the belt for the saw to turn the right way because everything turns backwards hooked up this way.

Had one back in Ontario, it had a step up angle drive run off the rear pto. It REALLY spun And cut like a hot knife through butter after I sharpened the blade. I converted a length of square bale conveyor to remove the junks. Cut many a cord with it but always tried to keep out of the periphery of the blade. I picked up another here in Nova Scotia but I haven't put it to use because the trees I'm cutting here are to big in dia. for it.

I've never used a tractor mounted setup, but I'm looking forward to using this blade on my Gravely walkbehind. I'll probably just use it for clearing brush though. It bolts on the the mower gearbox.

I have one that came mounted on the back of my CA.Never used it and don't expect to but it looked like a nice rig. The blade was either 26" or 28". If anyone could use it, let me know (probably don't want to ship it across the US). I'll put a reasonable price on it. Bob@allisdowneast.
