Hi everyone.
Does any of you have a brillion seeder, and know how to adjust the small seed box for smaller seed. I have a pretty good idea but just thought I'd ask. Thanks |

Check for the manuals online at the Brillion website, even for the earliest units by model/serial number.. Mine is from the early 2000's and has a a 15/16" hex the end of the shaft for the small seed meters. You catch and weigh the seed from a certain number of turns of the shaft. I use a triple balance beam gram scale, there are electronic versions too. My manual has the formula, but you can probably measure the drive, count the teeth on sprockets and create your own formula. Mine will get the rate within a few ounces per acre on the small seed box. The fluffy agitator should work the same way but has varied more from the calibrated setting to actual field rate. I think driving speed may influence this.

Make sure the rolls don’t touch a high spot or anything on your way to the field. Also come to a complete stop on the ends before you pick it up. If the rolls are turning your metering seed. Started renting an Esch drill instead and much happier.

Mine has numbers on the hex shaft that corresponds to a number on the sed chart. You move the the hex nuts to move the shaft that adjusts the slides that allows the seed out
