snippet from the latest electronics info I get..

Hyundai announced that it would invest in Autotalks, a startup whose chips enable cars to broadcast their location and speed so that other cars can automatically avoid crashing into them at night and in inclement weather, react to them speeding around blind corners, and contribute to local traffic reports.

It'll also allow the cops to give you tickets for speeding, running red lights and changing lanes without signalling...

Probably 90% of the 'what's new' I get has to do with car electronics, mostly autonomous vehicles. NOTHING about getting BETTER fuel economy. When you see Ford of Canada only sold 19,000 cars this year BUT 136,000 trucks( 72,000 are F series), you'd think MPG would be important when gas up here is $5 USD/USG.

I don`t like buying gas no matter what the price.  Back in the mid 60s I bought gas in Colorado Springs for 19.9.  I could fill my tank for a little over $2.00.  Gas just tonight went up from $2.75 to $3.09 again.

It was $3.13 in western PA and $2.63 in Ohio last week, about the same price here in Colorado right now.
